( Figs 75–76 View FIGURE 75 View FIGURE 76 , 90 View FIGURE 90 )
Leucochrysa ornatissima Nakahara, 1955: 144 View in CoL . Type locality: China ( Taiwan, Hori [Puli]). Holotype in NSMT.
Suarius hainanus Yang & Yang, 1991b: 351 View in CoL . Type locality: China (Hainan, Tongshi ). Holotype in CAU. syn. nov.
Signochrysa hainanus : Lai, Li & Liu, 2023: 16.
Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the pronotum and mesonotum with brown spots on the anterolateral angle, the forewing with extensive brown shading, especially on the base of first three branches of Rs, the gradate series and forking marginal veins, the small male entoprocessus, the arcessus with forked processus below the apex, and the deep female ventral impression.
Description. Male. Body length 9.5–10.5 mm, forewing length 10.5–11.7 mm, hindwing length 9.5–10.5 mm.
Head with a black interantennal spots and two black genal spots, vertex raised. Compound eyes prominent and black. Scape with reddish stripe on outer side, pedicel brown, flagellum shorter than scape and pedicel. Frons without spots. Maxillary palpi black, labial palpi brownish yellow.
Pronotum anterior margin shorter than posterior margin. Pronotum and mesoscutum with brown spots on anterolateral angle. Metanotum without markings.
Legs with dense setae, without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation.
Forewing narrow, with many brown shadings, especially on base of first three branches of Rs, gradate series and forking marginal veins; crossveins brown. Pterostigma brown. Costal area with 14–19 crossveins; 8–10 radial crossveins present. m1 smaller than m2; im triangular; 8 psm-psc crossveins brown. c1 smaller than c2, dcc closed. A1 forked, A2 and A3 simple. Inner gradate series with 4–6 crossveins; outer gradate series with 6–7 crossveins.
Hindwing narrow. Costal area with 14–18 crossveins; 7–9 radial crossveins and 7 psm-psc crossveins present. Inner gradate series with 1–3 crossveins, outer gradate series with 4–5 crossveins.
Abdomen with dense setae. Tergum VII and sternum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII obviously shorter than tergum VII; sternum VIII fused with sternum IX, sternum IX elongated and exceeded apex of ectoproct; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Gonarcus arcuate, lateral arms narrow at base and wide at tip; entoprocessus small; arcessus with forked processus below apex.
Female. Body length 10.4–11.9 mm, forewing length 11.9–12.8 mm, hindwing length 10.5–10.9 mm.
Tergum VII and sternum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII shorter than VII; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Subgenitale bilobed apically; vela medium length, ventral impression deep, duct long and coiled.

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan, Yunnan).
Remarks. Yang and Yang (1991b) established Suarius hainanus based on a female specimen from Hainan. Lai et al. (2024) transferred this species to Signochrysa based on genetic distance of COI fragment (less than 0.02). We re-examined type specimen of Suarius hainanus and found it has morphological characters that are completely consistent with those of Si. ornatissima , which had been recorded in Taiwan and Hainan. Both species have black interantennal spots and two black genal spots on the head, the scape with reddish stripe on the outer side, the brown pedicel, the pronotum and mesonotum with brown spots on the anterolateral angle, and the forewing with many brown shadings. Hence, we treat Suarius hainanus as a junior synonym of Si. ornatissima . In addition, after examining multiple specimens of this species, we discovered that the fork of the processus below the apex of arcessus sometimes extends backwards and sometimes extends to the sides as well.
