Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the head and thorax without markings, the forewing without shadings, the brown costal crossveins, apical radial crossveins, inner gradate series and CuP, the branches of Psc alternatively brown and yellow, the median arch of male gonarcus with shallow V-shaped invagination, and the ovoid arcessus.
Description. Male. Body length 12.0– 12.4 mm, forewing length 15.7–16.8 mm, hindwing length 14.1–15.3 mm.
Head without spots, vertex raised. Compound eyes prominent and black. Antennae yellow, scape and pedicel wider than flagellum. Frons, clypeus and gena not marked. Maxillary and labial palpi brownish yellow.
Pronotum anterior margin shorter than posterior margin, meso- and metanotum without markings.
Legs with dense setae, without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation.
Forewing relatively long, costal crossveins, apical radial crossveins, inner gradate series and CuP brown. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 27 crossveins; 17 radial crossveins present. m1 smaller than m2; im ovoid; 10 psm-psc crossveins present. c1 smaller than c2, dcc opened. A1 forked, A2 and A3 simple. Inner gradate series with 12 brown crossveins, outer gradate series with 12 crossveins. Branches of Psc alternatively brown and yellow.
Hindwing without shadings. Costal area with 19 crossveins; 16 radial crossveins and 9 psm-psc crossveins present. Inner gradate series with 9 crossveins, outer gradate series with 10 crossveins.
Abdomen with dense setae. Tergum VII and sternum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII slightly shorter than tergum VII; sternum VIII fused with sternum IX and with small tubercle near tip; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Gonarcus arcuate, median arch with small V-shaped invagination, lateral arms narrow at base and wide at tip; entoprocessus widest at tip; arcessus ovoid.
Female. Body length 13.6 mm, forewing length 19.0 mm, hindwing length 16.5 mm.
Sternum VII longer than tergum VII; tergum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII shorter than tergum VII; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Subgenitale bilobed apically; spermatheca thick, vela short, ventral impression present, duct long and coiled.
Type material. Holotype ♂, China, Taiwan, Nantou, Ren’ai, Meifeng Farm, 1700 m, 2019.VI.15, Yuchen Zheng ( CAU) . Paratypes: 1♂, same as holotype ( CAU) ; 1♀, China, Taiwan, Hualian, Xinbaiyang , 1670 m, 2011. VI.20, Xiaoyan Liu ( CAU) .
Etymology. The specific epithet ‘ interrupta ’ refers to the branches of Psc of forewing alternatively brown and yellow in the new species.
Distribution. China (Taiwan).
Remarks. This species can be easily distinguished from its congeners by the color of veins of forewings, and the V-shaped invagination on median arch of male gonarcus.
