Ischnodemus caspius Jakovlev, 1871 View in CoL
Distribution in Iran. Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2011), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rus & Kment 2006).
General distribution. Central-Asiatic species reaching Bulgaria, Greece and Croatia in the West, and Iran and Afghanistan in the East.
Comments. On Typha latifolia (Linnavuori 2011) . When revising Kubik’s collection, Rus and Kment (2006) found samples from Surat, a city without indication of country. They found four countries with a town named Surat: India, Somalia, Australia, France. According to the general distribution of I. capsius, one can hypothetically think that “ Surat ” is in France or India. In each case it would be a new finding and a great geographical extension.
