Allotropa / magnini Risbec / ex larves de Pseudococcus / njalensis / Bingerville VI. VII.53 / Magnin [syntypes 15 ƤƤ; 13 3].
Remarks. There are 39 female and 50 male syntypes not 38 females and 49 males as mentioned by Risbec, also despite Risbec saying that Allotropa magnini attacks Pseudococcus njalensis (now Formicococcus njalensis (Laing, 1929)) and “ P. magnini ” nom. nud.?, (possibly an error for P. bingervillensis Magnin ?) the syntypes are all labelled as from P. njalensis . Since Risbec did not mention any material other than the syntypes, the host record of P. magnini (sic) is doubtful. All syntypes are slide-mounted on four microscope slides, one with a slightly yellowish tinged mountant, the other slides are dry mounts ringed with paraffin wax.
