Leptacis pubescens Kieffer, 1913c: 196 .
Current status. Leptacis bitensis Kieffer, 1916
Syntype Ƥ, France, Moselle, Bitche (MNHN).
Labels. Holotypus; Bitche/ coll. Kieffer/ teste Benoit; Leptacis / pubescens ; Leptacis bitensis Kieffer / holotype Ƥ/ (= pubescens Kf. non/ Ashmead 1893)/ P. L. G. Benoit, 1956 [syntype Ƥ].
Remarks. There is no evidence that this is a holotype despite Kelner-Pillault (1958). Kieffer mentions the ‘grand tergite ayant à sa base une large impression médiane et allongée’ however there are actually two basal impressions, although from a superficial examination, this particular specimen would give the appearance of one since the metasoma is mounted on its side, making the right hand impression difficult to see. The syntype is mounted on its right side, the fore wings, most of the mesosoma and part of the vertex are missing, and it is a little dirty. Leptacis pubescens Kieffer, 1913 c is permanently invalid as a junior primary homonym of Leptacis pubescens Ashmead, 1893 . Kieffer proposed the replacement name Leptacis bitensis Kieffer in 1916 (and again in 1926!).
