Pintara Evans, 1932 View in CoL
Pintara Evans, 1932: 305 View in CoL , 338. Type species: Plesioneura pinwilli Butler, 1879 View in CoL ; Evans 1949: 126; Devyatkin 1998: 295; Yuan et al. 2015: 236; Wu & Hsu 2017: 1329.
Albiphasma Huang, Chiba, Wang & Fan, 2016: 148 . Type species: Abraximorpha heringi Mell, 1922 View in CoL ; Wu & Hsu 2017: 1329; Shen et al. 2022: 665; Zhang et al. 2022: 23. syn. nov.
The authors of the genus Albiphasma compared the venation of heringi View in CoL with that of Abraximorpha dividii in order to prove the two taxa belong to different genera. However, they did not take any members of Pintara View in CoL into the comparison of venation, although the close relationship of Albiphasma and Pintara View in CoL had been indicated by both morphological similarities and molecular evidence ( Huang et al. 2016: 148). Actually, it can be observed from their paper that the venation of pinwilli View in CoL ( Huang et al. 2016: 149, fig. 12) is same as that of heringi View in CoL ( Huang et al. 2016: 152, fig. 32). Moreover, the hair tuft on the hind tibiae ( Huang et al. 2016: 149, fig. 13, 15) and the male genitalia ( Huang et al. 2016: 148; 150, figs. 16–20; 151, figs. 27–31) of pinwilli View in CoL and heringi View in CoL resemble one another. Therefore, considering the results of molecular analysis and morphological comparison, we propose Albiphasma to be a synonym of Pintara View in CoL .
