Prochiloneurus aegyptiacus (Mercet) View in CoL : Viggiani, 1970: 67, notes, figure.

Material examined. KSA: AL-BAHA: Qunfudah, vi.2012, (MT), Coll. Z. Ahmad (1 ♀) ( ZDAMU).

Comments. The above listed specimen from Saudi Arabia is identified as P. aegyptiacus on the basis of the original description and figure given by Mercet (1929), especially for having the apical hyaline band of the fore wing very narrow, and dark brown flagellum. That the colour of the funicle segments is variable in this species was shown by Compere (1938), Viggiani (1970: fig. 2) and by Hayat (1981, 2006: fig. 439). However, the figure of the fore wing given by Compere (1938: fig. 9) shows the apical hyaline band broader, nearly as in P. javanicus (Ferrière) . This species is newly recorded from Saudi Arabia .
