Metaphire californica (Kinberg)
Diagnosis: Length 60–65 mm, diameter 2–3 mm. Color pale. Setae numerous. Clitellum annular on segments 14–16. Female pore unpaired mid-ventral on segment 14. Combined male and prostatic pores on segment 18. Intestinal caeca simple, spermathecal pores in lateroventral intersegments 7/8/9. Genital markings absent in both spermathecal and male regions ( Figure 2C View FIGURE 2 ).
Habitat: Common in grassy and woody area.
