Distributional records. This species was described from Mexico as Mallodon spinosum . Currently, it is recorded in Mexico (Chiapas, Ciudad de México, Durango, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Tlaxcala and Veracruz), Guatemala and Honduras.
