This very rarely seen eucnemid species has been recorded in Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina ( Muona 2000; Otto 2010) and now for the first time in Illinois and Kansas. Specimens were taken by Lindgren funnel traps, canopy traps, flight intercept traps and canopy Malaise traps. ILLINOIS: Effingham County: 2.0 km SSW Effingham, 10–29 June 2016, C.
