This widespread, common eucnemid species was previously known from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia ( Muona 2000). New state records include Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia. Specimens were reared from dead Carya sp. ( Juglandaceae ) limbs, Lindgren funnel traps and an intercept panel trap. CONNECTCUT: Fairfield County: 1.5 km SE New Canaan, 23 June–6 July 2015, K.
