In Canada, this eucnemid species was previously recorded in Ontario. In the United States, R. bonvouloiri was distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin ( Muona 2000) and reported here for the first time in Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Texas and Vermont.
