Entomophthalmus ru fi olus (LeConte, 1866)
In Canada, this uncommonly seen eucnemid species was found in Ontario and Québec. In the United States, E. rufiolus has been recorded in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin ( Muona 2000). New state records include Delaware, Kansas, Michigan, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont and West Virginia. Specimens were taken by molasses trap, oak woods, canopy traps, intercept panel traps, Lindgren funnel traps, Malaise traps and nercury vapor light.
