Present name: Ablepharus bivittatus ( Ménétriés, 1832) fide Eremchenko & Szczerbak (1986).

Remarks: These specimens are also the types of Ablepharus Menestriesii Duméril et Bibron, 1839 . This species served as the type species for the subgenus Microablepharis Fitzinger, 1843 by original designation.
