Type material examined: Holotype of Lesteva morvani , ♂ [beetle glued on rectangular plate, eight abdominal segment glued under the beetle; aedeagus missing]: ‘massif du KUH-I-KAHAR’, ‘a l'ouest de GASH-I-SAR’, ‘accolé a' ur névé’, ‘AIT. 3000 m. versant NORD’, ‘ 16.7.1968 ’, ‘ ELBURS IRAN’, ‘Morvan Pierre’ <first seven labels are handwritten by black pen on cardboards plates for insects>, ‘TYPE’ <red rectangular label, printed>, ‘ Lesteva morvani Jarr [ige].’ <rectangular label, handwritten> ( MHNH).

Material examined: IRAN: 1 ♀: ‘ ELBURS IRAN’, ‘massif du KUH-I-KAHAR’, ‘a l'ouest de GASH-I- SAR’, ‘ 16.7.1968 ’, ‘AIT. 3000 vers. NORD’, ‘sous une Pierre très humide’, ‘Morvan Pierre’ ( MHNH) .

Remarks. This species was described from a single male by Jarrige (1971) from North Iran. Based on the shape of aedeagus, it was compared with L. luctuosa Fauvel, 1871 . Unfortunately, the aedeagus of the holotype is missing. It is possible that it had been glued above the beetle as there is a small piece of glue remaining there. In Paris Museum I found a female from the same locality as the holotype, which I identified as L. morvani based on external characters. The species has very fine punctation of the forebody, which was not observed in other species mentioned in this study, and has moderately elongated atennomeres ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 4–11 ). Similar species are known from the Caucasus, for example L. zolotarevi Roubal, 1910 , and some related, undescribed species with the same character of punctation of the forebody and a wide aedeagus, which was figured by Jarrige (1971; Fig. 6 View FIGURES 4–11 ). At the present time, a redescription of the species is not possible and additional comparative material is required.
