Description.
Length: 8–9 mm (5 specimens measured).
Head: Dark red-brown; interocular space 1.9 eye widths; antennae brown, long, almost reaching pronotal base when laid back.
Pronotum: Length to width ratio 1.0:1; dark red-brown.
Elytra: Light brown to brown, with one more or less isolated light yellow basal macula, one light yellow, transverse, central fascia and one more or less isolated light yellow apical macula on each side.
Legs: Light brown to dark brown; profemora and metafemora approximately equal in thickness and thicker than mesofemora; protibiae straight, mesotibiae bent, metatibiae distinctly bent; mesotibiae with a long and a short straight spur, metatibiae with a large, curved spine and a small spur, slightly curved at the tip.
Lower surface: Head, prosternum and middle of mesoventrite light brown.
Terminal abdominal segments: Pygidium concave at anterior margin and convex at posterior margin, lateral margins curved, pygidial arms long and slightly converging; anterior margin of sixth ventrite tapering anteriorly in the middle, posterior margin nearly straight, lateral margins slightly curved.
Male genitalia: Tegmen with approximately equal size to phallus, narrowing towards its posterior limit, sinuses deep, ventral sinus deeper than dorsal sinus, phallobasic struts thin and slightly bent, phallobasic apodeme distinctly vertically and horizontally dilated; phallic tip with long hook-like structure, phallic plates broad, phallic struts broad and curved; spicular fork fused after two thirds, spiculae with large wing and a thorn each, spiculae slightly dilated anteriorly, interspicular plate sub-ovate.
Distribution. China, Taiwan.
Seasonal occurrence. Collected in July and August.
