Global distribution: ANT, NT.
Argentinian distribution: Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz.
Ecology: This species was found in ephemeral and permanent environments, such as springs, ponds and rivers. It was recorded in wide electrical conductivity values ranging between 1460 and 15500 μS/cm. It can be considered as an euryhaline and cold-stenothermal species.
