Material examined. 11 3, 19 ƤƤ, Wuyishan (26°54ʹN, 116°42ʹE), Fujian Province, 740–1100 m, 25.vii- 2.viii.2008, leg. Weichun Li, Yongling Sun and Haiyan Bai ( NKUM).
Diagnosis. Glaucocharis hastatella Song & Chen, 2001 can be distinguished from its congeners by the unique characters in the genitalia: the costa having a hastate basal prong in the male genitalia, and the antrum roundly dilated anteriorly in the female genitalia.
Description. Adult forewing length 4.5–5.0 mm.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ). Papilla analis ovate, about half length of apophysis anterioris. Tergite eight about one fourth as long as apophysis anterioris. Antrum straight tubular, covered with dense granules, roundly dilated anteriorly, sclerotized and armed with pleats. Ductus bursae straight, thickened towards corpus bursae. Ductus seminalis arising from anterior margin of antrum. Corpus bursae ovate; signum absent.
Distribution. China (Fujian).
Remarks. The female of this species is described for the first time. Chen et al. (2001) described and figured the male adult and genitalia.
