TYPE LOCALITY: Argentina, Buenos Aires Prov., Bonifacio .
DISTRIBUTION: Buenos Aires and La Pampa Provs. (E. Argentina).
COMMENT: Cabrera, 1961:555, included australis in this species; but see Contreras and Reig, 1965, Physis, 25(3): 62, and Roig and Reig, 1969, Comp. Biochem. Physiol., 30:670, who considered australis a distinct species.
