DISTRIBUTION: E. Brazil.

COMMENT: MRW and TEL give the type locality as Rio Pardo and Moojen, 1952, Os Roedores do Brasil, as Rio Grande de Belmonte, Rio Pardo, Rio San Francisco; but see Cabrera, 1961:580.
