TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., Novosibirsk. Obi., Baraba Steppe, mouth of Ishim River .
DISTRIBUTION: Boreal and montane forests from Norway and Denmark to Ussuri region ( China and S.E. Siberia, U.S. S.R.), north to Arctic Circle at White Sea, south to Austria, Carpathian, Caucasus and Sayan Mtns.
COMMENT: Pallas' type specimen is probably not preserved (AEM).
