Redescription. Length: 5.0 mm, length of elytra: 3.5 mm, width: 3.2 mm. Body short-oval, dorsal surface dark brown and shiny, ventral surface reddish brown; antenna yellow, dorsal surface glabrous.
Labroclypeus subtrapezoidal, widest at base, lateral margins weakly convex and convergent to convex anterior angles, lateral margin and ocular canthus producing a distinct blunt angle; margins distinctly reflexed, anteriorly distinctly emarginate medially; surface weakly convex, coarsely and densely punctate, with a few long, erect setae anteriorly; frontoclypeal suture weakly impressed and moderately curved; smooth area in front of eye approximately 1.5 times as wide as long; ocular canthus short and moderately wide, finely punctate, with one terminal seta. Frons with coarse, dense punctures, with a few single setae beside eyes. Eyes small, ratio of diameter/interocular width: 0.51. Antenna with 10 antennomeres; club with three antennomeres, distinctly shorter than remaining antennomeres combined. Mentum anteriorly elevated and flattened.
Pronotum subtrapezoidal, widest at base, lateral margins strongly convex and convergent anteriorly; anterior angles well produced and sharp; posterior angles blunt; anterior margin moderately convexly produced medially, anterior marginal line fine and complete; surface coarsely and densely punctate; anterior and lateral margins sparsely setose. Scutellum wide, triangular, with coarse and moderately dense punctures.
Elytra oblong, widest at middle, striae finely impressed, finely and densely punctate, intervals convex, with coarse, dense punctures concentrated along striae, glabrous; epipleural margin robust, ending at convex external apical angle of elytra, apex of elytra concavely trunctae; epipleura densely setose; apical border narrowly membraneous, with a fine rim of short microtrichomes.
Ventral surface shiny, metasternum and metacoxa with fine and sparse punctures, disc sparsely setose, otherwise nearly glabrous; metacoxa glabrous except for a few setae laterally. Mesosternum between mesocoxae as wide as mesofemur. Ratio of length of metepisternum/metacoxa: 1/1.39. Abdominal sternites, in addition to fine and dense punctures, each with an indistinct transverse row of punctures each bearing a short and fine seta, otherwise punctures with microscopic setae, penultimate sternite apically with a shiny smooth chitinous border. Pygidium moderately convex, finely and densely punctate, without smooth midline, with a few long setae along apical margin.
Legs moderately wide and long; femora with two longitudinal rows of setae, finely and moderately densely punctate; metafemur shiny, anterior margin acute, lacking an adjacent serrated line; posterior ventral margin convex, weakly widened in apical half and smooth, dorsal posterior margin smooth, finely sparsely setose. Metatibia moderately wide and long, widest at apex, ratio width/length: 1/2.55, dorsal margin sharply carinate, with two group of spines, basal at one third, apical at three quarters of metatibial length; lateral face longitudinally convex, with sparse and fine punctures; ventral margin serrate, with three equidistant spines; medial face impunctate; apex interiorly near tarsal articulation shallowly concave. Tarsomeres impunctate dorsally, ventrally with sparse, short setae; metatarsomeres glabrous ventrally and with a strongly serrated ridge, beside which is not a strong longitudinal carina; first metatarsomere as long as following two tarsomeres combined and a quarter of its length longer than dorsal tibial spur. Protibia short, bidentate, moderately long. Protarsal claws symmetric.
