Saccolaimus peli (Temminck, 1853) View in CoL

This species has only been recorded at Mt Nimba by Coe (1975) in forested habitat on the Liberian side. A. Forbes-Watson also collected a specimen from Liberian Nimba and deposited it in the National Museums of Kenya (A. Monadjem, personal observation of the specimen). Despite its characteristic and conspicuous habits of foraging during the early evening, it was not observed during this study.
