Type material. Holotype ( NMP): 1 male, “MalaccaGap., Dr Baum 29”.
Description. Male. Body oblong, slightly convex, shining, covered with short suberect setae. Coloration of head, antennomeres 1–3, pronotum, scutellum and ventrum yellowish; legs infuscate; antennomeres 4–11 and mouthparts brownish; epipleura pale brown, elytra pale brown with 3 yellow maculae, transverse situated in basal 1/4 of elytra, transverse situated in posterior half of elytrae, and oval in apical portion of elytra, close to sutural margin.
Head moderate in size, dorsal side slightly convex, finely punctate; clypeus long, with rounded anterolateral angles, gently arcuate in front margin. Eyes moderate in size, prominent; the distance between the eyes ca. 2.0 times as wide as the maximum diameter of an eye. Antennae filiform, reaching base of elytra. Pronotum slightly convex, covered with fine punctation similar to that on head; antero-lateral corners acute, projecting anteriorly; front and lateral margins gently arcuate; postero-lateral corners straight; posterior margin slightly bisinuate; PW/PL 2.40. Scutellum relatively small, finely punctate, equilaterally triangular. Elytra oblong-oval, widest at the middle, sparsely punctate; humeri well marked; EL/EW 1.21; EL/PL 4.20; EW/PW 1.44; TL/EW 1.50. Legs of moderate length. Hind tibial spurs well developed, longer is almost straight, shorter is curved; dorsal spurs ca. 2.1 times as long as ventral ones, ca. 0.7 times as long as hind tarsomere 1. Sternites III–IV sparsely covered with short setae, setae are longer on mesal part of Sternite III and IV, sternite IV has two transverse areas devoided of setae situated close to its anterior margin; sternites V–VII closely covered with long setae regularly; caudal margin of sternite VII shallowly emarginate. Tergite VII subtrapezoidal, without apodemes. Tergite VIII lightly sclerotized, trapezoidal, bearing row of setae on apical margin, with a pair of long and stout apodemes; tergite IX lightly sclerotized, arcuate in apical margin, with a pair of stout apodemes; sternite IX lightly sclerotized, bearing short setae. Tegmen well sclerotized, connected with penis; basal part semicircular; parameres relativelty short, outwardly curved, more than 2.0 times shorter than basal part, pointed at apices. Penis well sclerotized, bifid at apex, twice as long as parameres, connected with tegmen in apical part, well exceeding basal portion of parameres.
Female. Unknown.
Measurements. Male (n = 1): TL 3.90 mm; PW 1.80 mm; PL 0.75 mm; EL 3.15 mm; EW 2.60 mm.
Distribution. Malayan Penins. ( Malacca).
Etymology. The species is named after the type locality, Malacca, a part of Malayan Peninsula.
