The type locality is Brazil, Petrópolis.
Material
12 females, BRAZIL, Rio de Janeiro, January 1922 (T. Borgmeier I, Museum Koenig, Bonn and CUMZ 2799). 1 female, COLOMBIA, Valle del Cauca, Bosque Yataco, 1575 m, 23 January 1989, W. P. Mackay ( CUMZ 1867).
Natural history
Females of this species have been recorded in colonies of the termites Kalotermes sp. and Nasutitermes spp, including N. ephratae (Holmgren) ( Disney, 1994) .
