Type data. Male. Brazil, Goiás, Veadeiros. Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History ( LACM) .

Redescription. Male. In addition to the characters mentioned in the generic description: Coloration. Brown with grayish spots; pleura and sternites of the thorax yellow. The outter border of the fore-, middle femora and the dorsal border of the tibiae are outlined in black; the hind femur has a midline from the base to the middle of their length outlined in black ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ). The tegminae have a black background and yellowish venation, except for the stridulating crest, which is reddish-brown ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Head with normal development, the maxillary palps’ first, second, and third segments have similar size; the fifth segment is the longest and dilates towards the apex. Thorax. The anterior margin of the pronotum is round and extends moderately over the head; the posterior margin is slightly curved, and the pronotal disc is not elevated in the posterior zone (metazone) and with a shallow sulcus ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ).

Wings. Rs vein indistinguishable; stridulating crest almost straight and thickened; the mirror of both tegmina have a similar size, and they are oblong and membranous ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Legs. Fore-femur armed with six spines only on the inner margin; the fore-tibia with eight spines on each ventral margin. Mid-femur with five ventral spines on the outer margin; and the mid-tibia with six ventral spines on each ventral margin. Hind femur with eight ventral spines on the outer margin; hind tibia with nine spines on both dorsal margins. All genicular lobes are armed, except the outer genicular lobe of the mid-femur; all spines of the femur and hind tibiae are black. Abdomen. The tenth tergite extends moderately in the central part of the posterior border. Cerci thickened, slightly dorso-ventrally compressed, curved slightly inwards, and armed with two spines close to the apex of the inner margin ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ). Subgenital plate with a “V” shaped notch in the posterior edge, and the cylindrical styles have a similar thickness from the base to the apex ( Fig. 2D View FIGURE 2 ).
