Diagnosis. Forewing maculate, cross-veins mostly fuscous; membrane hyaline except for substantial mottled infuscation (other species generally with brown or yellow membrane); anal plate with process which with some small teeth on both sides dorsally; spermatheca curved distinctively.
Description. Male. Body length about 8.8mm. Head: Antennae short and brown, scape inflated and brown, with yellow setae. Eyes grey-black, ocelli black. Vertex brown, with a yellow stripe in the posterior margin. Frons brown, with three yellow longitudinal stripes. Labrum with two black longitudinal stripes, arranged into a V-shape. Maxillary and labial palpi fuscous; labial palpus four or five segments.
Thorax: Pronotum fusous, with yellow hairs; three parallel traverse ridges present. Mesonotum brown, with ochreous hairs. Metanotum with yellow hairs. Legs yellow, and tibia with a short spine at apex.
Wings ( Fig 1 View FIGURE 1 ): Forewing length 16.4mm, maximum width 5.4mm. Membrane hyaline, mottled brown infuscate, some cells fenestrate. Pterostigma brown, fuscous on both sides; nygmata brown. Costal margin shaded with light brown continuous spots. Veins brown, and mostly covered by brown spots. Rs with 11 branches, the separation of Ma from Rs far from media fork. Hindwings length 15.2mm, and width 4.6mm. Membrane light yellow. Gradate cross-veins edged with brown. MP fork near wing base, and Cu simple, without branches.
Abdomen: colouration dark brown, with yellow hairs.
Male genitalia ( Figs 3–7 View FIGURES 3 – 7 ): Anal plate relatively small in lateral view, dorsal margins fused and elevated into a fingerlike process, flat in dorsal view, small teeth on both sides. Callus cerci round. Genitalia composed of gonarcus and parameres. Gonarcus triangular in lateral view. Parameres V-shaped, and with an arched structure at base in lateral view. In dorsal view curved downward at one end, and inflated upward at the other end.
Female genitalia (Figs 8–9): Anal plate oblong in lateral view. Callus cerci round. Gonapophysis lateralis coniform, stylus long and fingerlike. Subgenital plate trianglar in lateral view. Spermathecae curved.
Type material. Holotype male, CHINA: Guangxi: Wuming, Damingshan. 0 5.23.1963, leg. Chikun Yang. Paratypes, CHINA: 4 males, same date as the holotype [one abdomen absent and one wings destroyed]; 1 male, 1 female, Guangxi: Huaping, Hongtan, 0 6.12.1963, leg. Chikun Yang, [wings destroyed].
Distribution. China (Guangxi).
Etymology. The specific name refers to the teeth of the process on the anal plate.
