Spinules at ventral base of fore basitarsus present or absent. Mid femur basally slightly thickened, ventrally with three or more bristles. Mid tibia usually modified. Segments 2–4 of fore tarsus shortened. Eyes touching or nearly touching each other on face. Ventral and dorsal surstyli close together, or even fused. Hypandrium reaching beyond tip of surstyli.
