Shortjaw Eelpout. To 38.9 cm (15.3 in) TL ( Anderson 1995). Sitka Sound, south-eastern Alaska ( Evermann and Goldsborough 1907, Mecklenburg et al. 2002) to Punta Colnett, northern Baja California ( Anderson 1995). Benthic; depth: 1,500 –2,570 m (4,921 –8,432 ft) ( Anderson 1995).
