Indo-Pacific ( Randall and Randall 2001); western Pacific Ocean north to Japan (Mochizuki in Masuda et al. 1984); Cabo San Lucas, southern Baja California ( De La Cruz-Agüero et al. 1997); Costa Rica to Colombia (Allen and Robertson 2015), including Islas Galápagos and other offshore islands (Allen and Robertson 2015).
