Chameleon Goby. To 12.5 cm (4.9 in) TL (Eric Miller, pers. comm. to M.L.). Native to China, Japan, and Siberia; San Francisco Bay, Los Angeles-Long Beach Harbors ( Eschmeyer and Herald 1983), and San Diego Bay ( Allen 1997). Benthic; marine, brackish, and fresh waters ( Eschmeyer and Herald 1983); depth: intertidal to more than 15 m (49 ft) ( Hwang and Lee 1999).
