Bigscale Soldierfish or Blotcheye Solderfish. To 31 cm (12.2 in) TL ( Robertson and Allen 2002). Indo-Pacific; western Pacific Ocean north to Yonaguni-jima Island, Japan ( Koeda et al. 2016); tip of Baja California, Costa Rica to Colombia, and offshore islands ( Robertson and Allen 2015). Marine and brackish waters ( Koeda et al. 2016); depth: 1–159 m (3–522 ft) (min.: Robertson and Allen 2002; max.: Myers 1999).
