Basionym:— Nephrodium clarkei Baker in Hooker & Baker (1874: 497).

Type:— INDIA. Sikkim: Yakla , 10000 ft, October 1869, C. B. Clarke 10252 (lectotype K, designated by Holttum & Edwards 1986) .

Homotypic synonyms:— Lastrea filix-mas subvar. clarkei (Baker) Beddome (1883: 250) , L. filix-mas var. clarkei (Baker) Beddome (1876: 17 , pl. 371), Ctenitis clarkei (Baker) Ching (1938: 287) .

This species occurs in China (Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Xizang, Yunnan), northern Myanmar , eastern Nepal and India (Sikkim) .
