Pseudotiron pervicax J.L. Barnard, 1967 View in CoL , 170–172, fig. 84.—J.L. Barnard (1972, p. 46).
Type fixation. Holotype, ♂, 4.7 mm.—Original designation. AHF No. 6115. [Not seen].
Remarks. Pseudotiron pervicax was illustrated and described by J.L. Barnard (1967), who had some doubt about its placement in Pseudotiron . He outlined many differences from the genotype Pseudotiron bouvieri Chevreux, 1895 and the more widely known P. longicaudatus Pirlot, 1934 , but chose not to create a separate genus for the species.
Pseudotiron pervicax , being very close to Tironella bathyalis gen. et sp nov. described above, is here transferred to the new genus Tironella .
Distribution. West coast USA south to Baja California, 1095–1205 m.
