Distribution
This species was previously reported from the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea ( Imajima and Shiraki 1982). In the Mediterranean, it was first reported from the Adriatic Sea by Fauvel (1940) and considered as a Lessepsian migrant. This species is new to the fauna of the Turkish Levantine coast.
