Distribution in Iran: Kerman (Bam, Sabzevaran), Tehran (Darakeh) (Háva and Kal´ık 1999), West Azarbaijan (Bastam, Urmia) (Háva and Kal´ık 1999; Tüzün et al. 2010), generally distributed (Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997), no locality cited (Abivardi 2001; Háva 2007a).
Distribution outside Iran: Cosmopolitan species ( Háva 2015a).
Hosts: Dried milk, wool, feather, grains, meat, corn, silk, and other products (in granaries) (Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997).
Dermestes (Dermestinus) murinus murinus Linnaeus, 1758 Distribution in Iran: Guilan (Assalem), Mazandaran (Háva and Kal´ık 1999), no locality cited (Háva 2007a). Distribution outside Iran: West Palaearctic ( Háva 2015a).
