Female: (n=4) Body worm-like, 157 long; prodorsal shield 27 long, 36 wide, anterior lobe present; prodorsal shield design with median lines from base to half, admedian complete, subparallel with median line, submedian lines 4, the 1st lines subparallel with admedian lines, the 2nd lines forked at half, directed to posterior, the 3rd lines from half to anterior 1/3, diverging to rear, the 4th lines along lateral sides; scapular tubercles set at prodorsal shield rear margin, setae (sc) 26 long, directed backward, sct-sct 16 apart; leg segments normal, foretibial (1') seta set at basal 1/3, 9 long; coxal area with short lines, 1st coxal setae (1b) 7 long, 1bt-1bt 9 apart, 2nd coxal setae (1a) 11 long, 1at-1at 7 apart, 3rd coxal setae (2a) 27 long, 2at-2at 18 apart; solenidion ending as knob; empodium simple, 5-rayed.
Opisthosoma: with about 65 microtuberculate rings; first 3 rings 4 long; lateral setae (c2) 12 long, c2t-c 2t 37 apart, c 2t \dt 42, c2t-dt 26; 1st ventral setae (d) 32 long, dt-dt 29 apart, dt\et 39, dt-et 33; 2nd ventral setae (e) 7 long, et-et 16 apart, et\ft 40, et-ft 37; 3rd ventral setae (f) 18 long, ft-ft 13 apart; setae h1 present.
Coverflap: 16 wide, 12 long, with about 12 longitudinal lines, genital setae (3a) 10 long, 3at-3at 13 apart.
Male: not seen.
Specimens examined: 4 females, Green Is., Taitung; 18-May-2002, C. S. Wu; ex. Pipturus arborescens (Link) C. B. Robins. (Urticaceae) .
Relation to host: Mites form pouch galls on the upper leaf surface.
Distribution: Philippines, Taiwan (new record).
