Diagnosis. See Lobato-Vila et al. (2020c: 24).

Distribution. USA: California ( McCracken & Egbert 1922).

Biology. Reared from galls of Heteroecus pacificus ( Ashmead, 1896) (= Andricus pacificus ) on Q. chrysolepis , and from galls of Disholcaspis canescens (Bassett, 1890) on Q. douglasii ( McCracken & Egbert 1922) .

Remarks. The type material of both Synergus pacificus and S. profusus was examined and the species was redescribed and illustrated by Lobato-Vila et al. (2020c: 24).
