A. montivagus Priesner 1948: 329

This species was recorded for the first time from Iran by Mirab-balu and Chen (2012), based on one female collected on Euphorbia sp. Mirab-balou (2019) described A. euphorbiae , from Iran on Euphorbia cheiradenia . It can be easily found that the species reported by them is a misidentification of A. euphorbiae , because the brief diagnosis of A. montivagus provided by Mirab-balou and Chen (2012) is very close to the original description of A. euphorbiae . Moreover, it is not matched in several characters in comparison with the original description and also submitted photos of the holotype of A. montivagus deposited in the Senckenberg Naturmuseum (Frankfurt, Germany). Furthermore, the reports of the two species are based on specimens collected on Euphorbia from somewhat close localities in the west of Iran. Therefore, the record of A. montivagus from Iran by Mirab-balou and Chen (2012) needs further study. But this species is reported here based on a female collected from the central region of Iran. No specimen of A. euphorbiae has been examined here.
