Type material: Costa collected the species in June 1834 nearby Camaldoli (Naples). Number of specimens and sex not indicated in orig. des. At least two syntypes are present at CMSNF ( Kehlmaier 2021).

Dist.: ITALY: Ischia [40°43’56’’N 13°55’15’’E], Ischia, Lago del Bagno {40°44’37’’N 13°56’34’’E}, Capri , Anacapri-Faro [40°32’3’’N 14°12’3’’E], Isola di Vivara [40°44’37.8’’N 13°59’36.5’’E], Napels, Posillipo [40°48’24’’N, 14°11’31’’E], Napels, near Camaldoli {40°51’N 14°13’E }.
