In Gabon, this species has previously been found in Libreville and Tchibanga (1930, Collection Brumpt Institut de Parasitologie, FacultØ de MØdecine de Paris, CBpt) on Potamochoerus porcus bush pigs. The Suidae family is the preferred host.
