Trisuloides sericea trigonoleuca Prout, 1922
Trisuloides sericea trigonoleuca Prout, 1922 , Bulletin of the Hill Museum, Witley 1: 227, pl.10: 22, (TL: Indonesia, Central Ceram, Manusela [ST: BMNH, London]).
Material examined. Syntype (by photograph): male, 20.29. Central Ceram, Manusela, 600 ft. Oct.–Dec. 1919. C. F. & J. Pratt/ Trisuloides trigonoleuca A. E. Prout male – type / Presented by J. J. Joicey Esq. Brit. Mus. 1931-444/ Type (photo G. Ronkay from coll. BMNH)
Diagnosis. Adult ( Figs. 21, 22 View FIGURES 17 – 22 ). Wingspan 53 mm. We follow A. E. Prout (1924) in the treatment of this taxon as a subspecies of T. sericea . Judging from the photograph of the syntype, the subspecies T. sericea trigonoleuca differs from the nominate one and T. sericea hawkeri by a paler greyish brown forewing, and distinct black with diffused whitish bordering ante- and postmedial lines; the hindwing differs by uniform yellowish-orange color, without dark basal part and terminal band, the only blackish terminal line, cilia and tornal mark are traceable. Details of male genitalia are illustrated by A. E. Prout (1924).
Distribution and biology. Indonesia: Molukkas, Prov. Maluku, Ceram, Manusela Mts. National Park.
