Gobicar ulugeiensis Legalov , sp.n. ( Fig. 6 View Figs ) Material. Holotype –?female ( PIN ¹ View Materials 4288/362), Mongolia, Umnu-Gobi ajmag, 25 km S Mandal-Obo-Somon settlement, Mushugay , Upper Jurassic - Lower Cretaceous , Ulugei Formation. Description. Body dark brown. Rostrum long, 7.67 times longer than the width, 1.44 times longer than pronotum, narrower than femora, weakly curved. Antennae attached in first third of rostrum. Frons weakly convex. Eyes large, round. Temples shorter than eye. Antennae short. Segments trapezoid. Clava not compact, shorter and wider than funicle. 1st segment trapezoid. 2nd segment little longer than 1st segment. 3rd segment elongated, equal on length to the previous segments together taken. Pronotum weakly elongated, with lateral carina. Disk flattened, probably, small punctate. Elytra 3.2 times longer than pronotum, with distinct striae. Intervals narrow, flat. Exterior margin of elytra straight line. Procoxa spherical, located near the prothorax basis. Precoxal part of prothorax weakly elongated. Metepisternum narrow. Metathorax wide. Abdomen flattened. 1st-4th ventrites of almost equal length. 5th ventrite elongated. Femora weakly widened. Length of body: 4.4 mm.
Diagnosis. This new species is lake to Gobicar ponomarenkoi Gratshev & Zherikhin, 1999 but differs by larger sizes of body, more strongly curved rostrum and longer 5th ventrite.
Etymology. The name is derived from the location “Ulugei” – “ulugeiensis ”.
Distribution. Khutuliyn-Khira.
