Distribution. Karatau.
Genus Cretoxenoides Legalov , gen.n. ( Fig. 5 View Figs ) Type species: Cretoxenoides erdeniensis Legalov , sp.n.
Description. Body brown. Rostrum long, longer than pronotum, narrower than profemora. Eyes round. Temples short. Pronotum with lateral carina. Disk largely punctate. Elytra weakly convex, with distinct striae. Intervals wide, flat.
Exterior margin of elytra straight line. Procoxa located near the prothorax basis. Abdomen convex. 1st and 2nd ventrites of almost equal length, narrow. Femora weakly widened. Length of body: 3.4 mm.
Diagnosis. This new genus differs from Medmetrioxenoides Gratshev and Legalov, 2009 by the rostrum thinner than tibiae, stronger convex body and largely punctate pronotum.
Etymology. The name is formed from the words “Cretaceous” and “ Metrioxenoides ”.
