Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 3 – 10 ) wingspan 10.5̄12.0 mm. The male genitalia of S. magna ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 16 – 19 ) are characterized by the tegumen produced triangularly to a point at the top, the costa of the valva almost straight, and the cucullus triangular. It can be distinguished from its congeners by the absence of the median fascia on the forewing.
