Studied material. No additional material for this species has been found since its original description, but for this revision some specimens belonging to the type series have been re-examined.

Descriptive remarks. This species is unique because of the configuration of the asymmetrical pedicellar apophyses in the male ( Figs. 128, 129 View FIGURES 128–133 ); subadult specimens also exhibit this asymmetry, which distinguishes this species from C. herculea n. sp. and C. vergitana n. sp. Each tibiae has 2 dorsal, 1 lateral (sometimes absent) and 4 ventral spines. The posterior margin of the tenth urotergite of males is variable, straight in adult specimens ( Fig. 130 View FIGURES 128–133 ) or concave in juveniles, and each posterolateral lobe of the urotergite possesses 4–6 sensory pegs. As in C. maggii , the posterior border of the tenth urotergite in the female is straight and the disc is devoid of setae, with only sparse setae near the margin of the urotergite ( Fig. 131 View FIGURES 128–133 ). The eighth urosternite of males is protruding, convex and rounded posteriorly as in other asymmetric species ( Fig. 132 View FIGURES 128–133 ). The subgenital plate of the female isas long as wide at its base ( Fig. 133 View FIGURES 128–133 ) and has a rounded posterior border. The ovipositor long and the gonapophyses have a high number of divisions (33–35). More details about this species can be found in the original description ( Bach et al. 1985).
