Tuponia (Chlorotuponia) cristifera Drapolyuk 1982: 161 View in CoL ; Konstantinov et al. 2013: 219 View Cited Treatment .

Diagnosis. Recognized by small sized, total length 2.2–2.6 (male), 2.0–2.4 (female); green dorsum with dense, short sericeous setae; corium and cuneus sometimes with pale spots at bases; meta-femur with few indistinct spots at apex, tibial spines black with black bases.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 45–51 View FIGURES 37 – 48 View FIGURES 49 – 61 in Drapolyuk, 1982): Pygophore with two fingerlike projections at base; endosoma distinctly constricted subapically, with two small apical blades, one of them surrounded with membrane bearing five denticles; phallotheca finely attenuate apically, with narrow lateral crest.

Host plants. Tamarix sp. ( Tamaricaceae ) ( Drapolyuk, 1982)

Distribution. China (Xinjiang), Mongolia ( Drapolyuk, 1982; Konstantinov et al., 2013).

Remarks. This species was first reported for China from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region ( Konstantinov et al., 2013). We could not examine specimens of this species, and the diagnosis is based on original description.
