Distribution. Brazil (Bahia, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro), Ecuador, and Peru.
Remarks. Presence of M. difficilis in the state of São Paulo was published by Tൾංඑൾංඋൺ +| Cൺඌൺඋං (2003); however, this record proved to be misidentification of Eremionycha bahiana , see ŚඐංශඍඈඃൺŇඌΚൺ (2009: 79). Therefore, M. difficilis is accordingly removed from the fauna of São Paulo. On the other hand, its occurrence in São Paulo is probable.
