Material examined. Morocco, Melilla, ♀ holotype, ♀ paratype, 1♂, 2♀; Mulay Rechid, 1♂, 1♀; Villa Sanjurjo, 1♂; El Guerruau, 1♂; Zariat, 1♂; Rostrogordo, 1♂, 1♀; Ixmoart, 1♂; Mt. Uixan, 1♂; Dardrinch, 1♂; Hasi Berkan, 2♀; Segang, 1♀; Zale, 1♀; Taurirt, 1♀; Ain Zohra, 1♀ (MNCN); Melilla, 1♂; Sangal, ♀ paratype, 1♂; Hassi Medina, 1♂ (MNHN).
Bolivar (1912) described it on a female from Melilla ( Morocco), differing from E. granosus by the following characters: small differences in the prosternum process and less tuberculated upper border of hind femurs ( Figs. 170–171 View FIGURES 162 – 173 ). I found also differences in the pronotum shape and meso- and metasternal spaces. It lives near Melilla and on the Rif ( Fig. 176 View FIGURES 174 – 176. 174 – 175 ).
