Material examined. Morocco, Melilla, ♀ holotype, ♀ paratype, 1 ♂, 2 ♀; Mulay Rechid, 1 ♂, 1 ♀; Villa Sanjurjo, 1 ♂; El Guerruau, 1 ♂; Zariat, 1 ♂; Rostrogordo, 1 ♂, 1 ♀; Ixmoart, 1 ♂; Mt. Uixan, 1 ♂; Dardrinch, 1 ♂; Hasi Berkan, 2 ♀; Segang, 1 ♀; Zale, 1 ♀; Taurirt, 1 ♀; Ain Zohra, 1 ♀ (MNCN); Melilla, 1 ♂; Sangal, ♀ paratype, 1 ♂; Hassi Medina, 1 ♂ (MNHN).

Bolivar (1912) described it on a female from Melilla ( Morocco), differing from E. granosus  by the following characters: small differences in the prosternum process and less tuberculated upper border of hind femurs ( Figs. 170–171View FIGURES 162 – 173). I found also differences in the pronotum shape and meso- and metasternal spaces. It lives near Melilla and on the Rif ( Fig. 176View FIGURES 174 – 176. 174 – 175).
