Bradythrips Hood & Williams, 1925: 68 View in CoL . Type species Bradythrips hesperus Hood & Williams 1925 View in CoL , by monotypy.

Six species are recognized in this genus. These are probably all originally from Southeast Asia, because B. hesperus View in CoL that was described from South America has also been recorded from Borneo ( Okajima 1987).
